Are you looking for a simple and easy way to teach your children the Easter story? 

Why not put together your own set of Resurrection Eggs? Fill each egg with an object representing a key fact from the story and use them to reinforce knowledge and deepen understanding about this special religious event.

YOU WILL NEED

INSTRUCTIONS

  • First number each egg 1 to 12
  • Next fill each egg with the correct object from the table below
  • Now let your children open the eggs in turn. Encourage them to explore the objects inside the eggs and as they do retell the story of Easter

Jesus rode into Jerusalem on a donkey. The people waved palm branches.

Egg 2

Cotton ball with perfume on

Mary poured expensive perfume on Jesus’ feet.

Egg 3

Small piece of cracker to represent Passover bread

Jesus ate the Last Supper with His disciples.

Egg 4

Three silver coins

Judas betrayed Jesus for 30 pieces of silver.

Rope/string

Jesus was bound with rope by the soldiers.

Peter denied Jesus three times and the rooster crowed three times just as Jesus had said.
